A NUMBER of the region’s up-and-coming aquatic stars will be competing at the 2018 British Para Swimming International Meet which starts on Thursday in Sheffield.

The Ponds Forge event is the British leg of the World Para Swimming Series.

It is also a selection competition for British Swimming to select a squad for the European Championships.

Devonport Royal’s Abigail Daly (pictured), Caradon’s Matt Clowes and Adam Roebuck and Mount Kelly’s Alexander Hobbs, Finlay Middleton and William Perry are among the swimmers who will be competing.

It will be a chance for them to test themselves against some of the best swimmers in the world.

The competition starts on Thursday and runs through to Sunday.
