HOME runner Oliver Thorogood claimed victory in the tough Looe 10 Miler race on Sunday.
The Looe Pioneer finished more than a minute-and-a-half in front of any of this rivals.
Thorogood clocked 1:02.41, with second place going to Cornwall AC’s Justin Thomas in 1:04.16 and Truro’s Alex Marples taking third.
Plymouth Harriers’ David Beckenkrager was ninth overall and second over-45 athlete, while Tamar Trotters’ Steve Baker was first over-60 competitor.
Cornwall’s Heidi Tregenza was first women in 1:08.12, with Taunton’s Alice Murry-Gourlay second and St Austell’s Debbie Starkey third.
Despite the bitterly cold temperatures, 496 runners finished the difficult multi-terrain event, which started and finished in Millpool car park.
Plymouth Musketeers were particularly out in force in Looe, while Plymouth Harriers and Tamar Trotters were also well represented.

Meanwhile, Tamar Trotters’ Bex Ezra came second women in the challenging Hameldown Hammer off-road half marathon.
The race starts at Widecombe-in-the-Moor and takes runners up a number of Dartmoor’s granite tors.
Ezra finished 17th overall out of a field of 300 in a time of 1:49.23. First women was Torrington’s Mary Mennon.
Torbay’s Arran Tocknell was first overall in 1:31.39.
