SOUTH Brent Judo Club returned home with three medals from the British Pre-Cadet and Cadet Championships in Sheffield.

The club took eight athletes to the event, which is the highlight of the domestic calendar, with medals, national ranking points, dan grade points and England squad places for 2018 all up for grabs.

The pick of their results was a gold and bronze combination for brother and sister Max and Cordelia Gregory, plus a bronze for Zoe Butler.

That was a tribute to the guidance and support of coaches Gary Gregory and Steve Squire.

Next weekend four members of the club – Cerys Callard, Adam Whitfield, Tom Ingram and Lewis Widdicombe – will compete at the Junior British Championships in Sheffield.
