ELBURTON Villa’s under-14 and under-15 sides are all set for the biggest games of their season.
Both teams have made county cup finals to be held at Devon FA’s headquarters at Coach Road, Newton Abbot.
This is the first time Villa have had two teams reach Devon finals and they are the only club in the county to have two finalists in the boys’ section this season.
The under-14s will play first with their final on Friday night against South Dartmouth College (7.30pm).
In effect this is a repeat of last season’s under-13 final in which Villa were defeated by Ashburton Acorns, who make up most of the current South Dartmoor squad.
Both clubs have had relatively simple passages through to the final with Villa’s toughest game being a 3-1 win away at Alphington.
South Dartmoor, meanwhile, were impressive in their 4-0 semi final win against MAP Juniors.
Elburton’s under-15s will play their final next Tuesday. They will face Galmpton at Coach Road (7.30pm).
Villa were impressive in their semi-final victory against MAP Juniors, while Galmpton brushed aside Marjons.
The Elburton team also have a league cup final to play this Saturday so hopefully they will be able to recover fully by Tuesday.
Villa’s two county cup finalists warmed up for their finals with a friendly together last weekend.
