FORMER Plymouth College pupil Ruta Meilutyte won six gold medals at the Lithuanian Winter Nationals in Kaunas.
The 19-year-old world record holder triumphed in her regular 50m and 100m breaststroke events.
The 2012 Olympic champion clocked 30.73 seconds for the 50m event, which is the second fastest in the world so far behind her controversial Russian rival Yuliya Efimova, and 1:07.47 for the 100m.
Meilutyte showed her versatility by also winning the 50m 100m and 200m freestyle titles and the 50m backstroke crown.
She clocked 25.98 seconds for the 50m freestyle, 55.81 for the 100m and 2:03.48 for the 200m and 30.13 for the one-length backstroke.
European champion Meilutyte is currently training in Kaunas with Paulius Andrijauskas following Jon Rudd’s departure from Plymouth.
