DEVONPORT Services’ Harrison Slade scored a winning try as Devon Under-16s A beat their Dorset & Wiltshire counterparts at Keyham on Sunday.
The Devon A team produced a storming second half display to come back from 19-5 down at the interval to win 26-19.
The side involved a number of players from Plymouth Combination area clubs.
Ethan Maltby scored Devon’s only try in the first half, but Luke Simpson, Will Crang and then Slade all went over in the second period, with Ivybridge fly-half Alex Gozzard converting them.
However, there was disappointment for the Devon under-16 B side against Dorset & Wiltshire at Keyham. They went down 42-21 after conceding four late tries.
Devon were leading with 20 minutes to go but lost their way in the closing stages.
Josh Woodland, Tom Watkinson and Haydn Lidstone scored tries for them.
