Plymouth modern pentathlete Pillage to make World Cup debut in Los Angeles

PLYMOUTH modern pentathlete Myles Pillage will make his UIPM World Cup debut in Los Angeles later this month.

The 18-year-old has been named in Great Britain’s team for the first major international event of 2017.

Pillage, who claimed top 10 finishes at both the Under-19 World and European Championships last year, is the youngest member of the British squad.

He will be joined on the plane to California by Olympians Samantha Murray, Kate French and Jamie Cooke.

Also representing GB will be Francesca Summers, Jessica Varley, Sam Curry and Tom Toolis.

The event starts on Wednesday, February 22 and runs through to Sunday, February 26.

Pillage was head boy at Plymouth College last year but after finishing school has moved to Pentathlon GB’s national training centre in Bath.
