CITY of Plymouth athlete Simon Anderson claimed two silver medals at the British Masters’ Championships in Birmingham.
Anderson’s podium finishes came in the men’s over-50 800m and 1,500m finals.
In both races, Anderson, reigning European indoor over-50 1,500m champion, was edged out for gold by Poole’s Andrew Ridley.
Anderson clocked 2:09.34 for the 800m and 4:26.24 for the 1,500m. He also ran the 5,000m where he finished out of the medals in a time of 18:03.22.
There was also a silver medal for fellow City of Plymouth athlete Tamzin Gribble. She took second in the women’s over-45 400m hurdles in a time of 79.47 seconds.
