JORDAN Andrews retained the Plymouth Coasters’ Five Miler title on Sunday.
The 2015 winner saw off the challenge of his Plymouth Harriers team-mate Neil Mytton to take victory in the race, which started and finished at Marsh Mills and took athletes down the Embankment, over Laira Bridge and back through Saltram.
Andrews clocked 28 minutes and 47 seconds, with Mytton coming home in 29.57.
Army athlete Ross Perkins was third (30.50), Erme Valley’s Tom Parker fourth (31.31) and Steve Brown fifth (32.22).
Kay Nias was first women home and 11th overall in a time of 34.45.
Second female home was Army runner Gemma Spencer (36.00), with Elizabeth Vernon third (41.16).

Meanwhile, there was more success for Plymouth Harriers at the Treggy 7 race at Launceston.
Chris Rimmer won the seven mile race that finishes in the ground of Launceston castle in a time of 38.45.
Cornwall AC’s Justin Thomas was second in 39.49. Plymouth Harriers’ Tom Humphrey was eighth in 42.05, while his team-mate David Beckenkrager was 11th in 42.23.
Cornwall’s Emma Stepto was first women in 42.35.
