PLYMOUTH’S Nicola Noble finished sixth at the ITU World Duathlon Championships in Aviles, Spain.
Competing in the women’s 25-29 year-old sprint category, the Plymouth Tri Club member finished in a time of one hour, 15 minutes and 56 seconds.
She clocked 22.52 minutes for the first run, 36.22 for the cycle and 12.33 minutes for the final run in hot conditions.
The race was won by fellow Great Britain athlete Emma Tayler, who finished in 1:10.18, with another Brit Jennifer Douglas second in 1:10.39 and Mexico’s Daniela Soler Torres third in 1:11.34.
Afterwards, Noble said: “Pleased with result, especially in that heat.”
