RUNNERS from around the country took part in the Dartmoor Discovery Race on Saturday.
The popular annual event sees ultra-athletes complete 32 miles around the undulating roads of Dartmoor.
The race, which is limited to 250 competitors, starts and finishes at Princetown and takes runners through Dartmeet, Poundsgate, Newbridge, Ashburton, Buckland-in-the-Moor, Widecombe-in-the-Moor and Postbridge.
As well as local athletes from Plymouth Harriers, Plymouth Musketeers, Tamar Trotters, Plymstock Road Runners, Erme Valley Harriers, Bere Alton, Tavistock, Plymouth Storm and elsewhere in Devon and Cornwall, there were also runners from Essex, Hampshire, Sussex, Somerset, West Midlands, Milton Keynes, Kent, Wales, Gloucestershire and Berkshire.
