WINGERS Seti Raumakita and Jon Dawe have re-signed for Plymouth Albion for the 2016/17 campaign.
The pair will be looking to firmly establish themselves in National One next season.
Fijian-born Royal Marine Raumakita, 28, who is based at Stonehouse, made 12 appearances for Albion last year but only four of which were starts.
Raumakita, who previously played for Devonport Services and Plymouth Argaum, would probably have made more appearances had he not missed the last month of the season due to a suspension. As well as wing, he can also play in the back-row.
“Last season was my first at Albion and I really enjoyed it,” said Raumakita, who has represented the Royal Navy and the UK Armed Forces side, which was previously known as the Combined Services.
“I was pleased to be offered the chance to play for Albion again.
“We had a good squad last season and, hopefully, we will have a good team for the season ahead.”
Dawe, meanwhile, joins fellow Cornwall double winners Herbie Stupple and Matt Shepherd in signing again for Albion.
The 22-year-old will be looking for more chances in 2016/17 after making just one start and four replacement appearances last season.
Dawe missed the start of the 2015/16 campaign with a knee injury and then found it hard to force his way into the team due to the form of the likes of Ethan Ford, Harrison Cully, Shepherd, Robin Wedlake and Raumakita.
He did have a loan spell at his former club Launceston and made 10 starts for them before returning to Brickfields.
Dawe, who was part of Cornwall’s squad that beat Cheshire 35-13 at Twickenham on Sunday, hopes he can make his mark at Albion next term.
“I really want to give it a go next season,” said the Cornwall winger, who works full-time as a car technician.
“Last season there was a great atmosphere within the squad and with a number of players staying at the club we should do very well again.”
“What happened last season at Albion was brilliant and I’m sure it will be the same if everyone buys in again.”
Raumakita and Dawe join Nile Dacres, Stupple, Dan Pullinger and Shepherd in committing to Albion for next season.
