David King

PLYMOUTH hurdler David King will be in televised action on Friday night when he competes at the Manchester CityGames.

The 21-year-old international will compete in the men’s 110m hurdles on the streets of Deansgate.

He will take on American Ryan Wilson and Denmark’s Andreas Martinsen.

The competition will be shown live on BBC 2 starting from 4.15pm.

King took part in the Manchester CityGames in 2014, finishing third in an all-British field.

This time he will be the only British athlete in the field.

“The atmosphere at CityGames is incredible and it’s a big year for us all,” said King. “I’m excited to line up against a high quality field and give my all.”
