Couch wins another World Series synchro medal in Canada

Tonia CouchPLYMOUTH Diving’s Tonia Couch claimed a third successive FINA World Series synchro medal.

Couch and her new synchro partner Lois Toulson, of Leeds, won bronze at the third leg of the series in Windsor, Canada.

The pair had already claimed a silver in Beijing and bronze in Dubai.

China’s Ruolin Chen and Huixia Liu won in Windsor with a 348.60 points. Home favourites Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion were second with 313.71 points and Couch and Toulson scored 310.68.

Both British divers will compete in the individual platform event on Saturday and are drawn in the same tough semi-final which also includes Australia’s Melissa Wu, China’s Qian Ren, Canada’s Benfeito and Mexico’s Alejandra Orozco.
