PLYMOUTH Diving’s Aidan Heslop complete a hat-trick of British Junior Elite Championship titles on Saturday by claiming victory in the boys’ B one-metre final.
Heslop had already won the platform and three-metre crowns.
In the one-metre final, he scored 383.65 points to finish ahead of Sheffield’s Raffael Benitez, who scored 368.20 points, and Alfie Brown in third with 367.55.
There was also gold medal success on the final day of the championships at the Life Centre for Plymouth’s Shanice Lobb and Victoria Vincent (pictured above).
Lobb won the girls’ A platform crown with 433.85 points, while Vincent, who had already won a gold and a silver in the springboard events, was well ahead of everyone else in the girls’ B platform final a day before her 15th birthday. The teenager, who competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, scored 366.05 points, with Crystal Palace’s Florence Smith second with 322.70. Plymouth’s Cody Powell-Tuckett finished fifth in the same final.
Matthew Dixon claimed a bronze medal in the boys’ three-final, while Ben Armitage was fourth in the boys’ C three-metre and Evageline Piper was sixth in the girls’ C one-metre event.
