TAMAR Trotters athlete Mike Wilsmore enjoyed a dream debut for England at the weekend.

Competing at the Bratislava Indoor Meet in Slovakia, Wilsmore won the 1,500m.

The 30-year-old clocked a season’s best time of 3:48.47 to beat Turkey’s Levent Ates, who finished second in 3:48.81. Third was Greece’s Markos Gourlias.

Wilsmore said he was ‘over the moon’ to win.
