PLYMOUTH Albion will not play Taunton A at Brickfields on Tuesday night as their Somerset opponents are unable to raise a side to travel down to Devon at short notice.
The match should have been played last Tuesday but had to be postponed due to the weather.
It was pencilled in for this week but Taunton are now unable to make it.
“It is understandable, but a bit frustrating,” said Albion’s director of rugby Graham Dawe. “However, once it was postponed last week it was always going to be a tough ask to get it on this week.”
“We are now looking to play Taunton as soon as possible after Christmas, but we do hope to play Exmouth A at Brickfields next Tuesday (December 8).
Dawe admitted a number of his players were looking forward to having a run-out and trying to push their claims.
“Our bench and fringe players were desperately looking forward to a run out at home,” he said. “Let’s just hope the weather does not play a part next week against Exmouth.”
