PLYMOUTH Leander claimed seven more medals on the final day of the British Summer Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
There were golds for Oscar Brain and Emma England, silvers for Sam Dailley, Tom Fannon and Aaron Rickhuss and two relay bronze medals.
Brain added to his haul from Ponds Forge with victory in the 13/14 year-olds 400m freestyle. He clocked a time of 4:10.22.
England triumphed in the 15-year-old girls’ 50m freestyle in a time of 26.41.
The rest of Leander’s individual medals also came in the 50m free.
Fannon took second in the 17/18-year-old category in 23.28, Dailley, who had already won five golds, collected silver in the 13/14 age in 25.05 and Rickhuss won his medal in the senior age group in 22.59.
Juliette Casini just missed out on a bronze in the 17/18-year-old girls’ ‘splash and dash’, finishing fourth.
But Casini was part of the Leander senior women’s team that won a medley relay bronze, along with Eliza Duffy, Rebecca Sheppard and Charlotte Atkinson. They edged out Mount Kelly, who came fourth.
Mount Kelly, though, did win silver in the 14/16 boys’ medley relay with Finn Linton, Oliver Taverner, Benjamin Staig and Alexander Seymour.
Meanwhile, the Leander team of Ethan Harrington, Nick Glasson, Daniel Jones and Fannon, took bronze in the men’s medley relay as the city side finished top of he medal table.
