PLYMOUTH sprinter James Arnott will have his first major run out since becoming world under-23 champion this weekend when he competes at the Anniversary Games in London.
The 18-year-old will be in action on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium as London hosts the final leg of the IPC Grand Prix Series.
Earlier this month, Arnott won the 200m title at the IWAS (International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation) World Junior Games and took silver medal in the 100m event.
Paralympic hopeful Arnott, who has restricted movement in his left shoulder due to Erb’s Palsy, has enjoyed an impressive season. As well as his world title success in Holland, the City of Plymouth athlete also claimed a T45/46 100m silver medal on his IPC Grand Prix debut in Berlin last month.
