Plymouth Diving’s Zach Anderson claims national title

PLYMOUTH Diving’s Zach Anderson showed he is one to watch in the future by winning the group E boys’ event on the opening day of ASA National Skills Finals in Manchester.

Anderson finished more than 18 points ahead of all his rivals to claim victory with a score of 301.50 points.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Adam Nelson came so close to claiming a medal in the group C2 boys’ competition. Nelson finished fourth with 273.90, which was less than a point off bronze.

Abby Fishleigh also claimed a top six finish in the group C2 girls’ event.

Jamie Danields, Jack Kinsman-Moore, Kloe Neil-Morrice, Maria Maraseau, Amy Davis and Georgia McCoy also competed on the opening day in Manchester.

The event continues on Sunday, where Harlie Stringer, Angel Yussof, Jessica Burke, Josh Freeman, Asia Brown, Libby Weddle and Megan Angell will be in action for Plymouth Diving.
