PLYMOUTH Albion are planning a festival of rugby to coincide with their pre-season match against Bedford Blues on August 22.
The National One club hope to have at least three games one after the other on the main pitch.
Albion are set to confirm a development/second team match against South West One opponents and then have a pre-season game featuring two Plymouth Combination clubs before Graham Dawe’s new-look side take on Championship outfit Bedford.
The Brickfields club have said they would even welcome another Combination fixture to make it a four-match day, as they look to strengthen their links with local sides.
“We want to make that Saturday a festival of rugby,” said director of rugby Graham Dawe.
“It would be nice to have a couple of local clubs play on Brickfields.”
Albion are also set to announce another home pre-season fixture on August 29 against a level five club.
