SALTASH RFC capped a memorable season by retaining the Plymouth Combination Sevens title.

The Moorlands Lane outfit, who will be playing in Western Counties West next season after winning promotion from Cornwall/Devon League this term, overcame a Devonport Services side 32-21 in the final at The Rectory.

Eight teams braved the bad Bank Holiday weekend weather to compete in the event that was played at both The Rectory and Stonehouse Creek.

Saltash and Devonport Services topped their groups with 100 per cent records.

Saltash played pool one runners-up Plymouth Argaum in the semi-final and beat then 45-10.

Services took on their colts team in the last four of the main competition and overcame them 22-0.

Meanwhile, OPMs won the plate final beating DHSOB 46-7, having beaten Plymstock in the knockout stage.
