A LATE headed goal by defender Carl McHugh earned Plymouth Argyle a valuable point at home to league leaders Burton Albion on Good Friday.
The former Bradford City player pounced from a Bobby Reid corner in the 86th minute of the League Two match at Home Park.
Burton, unbeaten since February, had taken the lead in the 33rd minute when Liverpool loanee Kevin Stewart scored with a long-range deflected shot that bounced in off the post.
Argyle, who handed a debut to Gethin Jones, hit the woodwork themselves after half-time with a Reuben Reid effort, but this one bounced the wrong way for John Sheridan’s side.
It looked like Burton might head home with the full three points but the Pilgrims dug deep and got their reward.
The Greens remain seventh in the table – the final promotion play-off spot. They are two points ahead of Stevenage, whose draw with Tranmere saw them overtake Luton Town, who lost 3-2 against Exeter City despite being 2-0 up at one point.
