PLYMOUTH Raiders came so close to pulling off a shock BBL result away at second-placed Worcester Warriors on Friday night.
Jay Marriott’s side had the chance to win the match when Worcester gave away possession with five seconds to go.
On the buzzer, Raiders top scorer on the night Pierre Hampton attempted a three-point jump shot but it failed to find the target.
It was tough on Raiders, who had led 28-19 at the end of the first quarter and 54-45 at half-time.
However, a strong Worcester spell mid-way through the third period got them back into the match and they managed to take a three point advantage going into the final 10 minutes.
With 90 seconds to go the teams were tied 80-80, but Wolves scored five unanswered to get their noises in front just when it mattered.
Hampton was the leading scorer on the night with 27 points.
