PLYMOUTH’S Ben Moore claimed a silver medal in the banked-slalom at the IPC Para-snowboard World Championships in La Molina, Spain.

Moore had been on target for gold but a fall in his final run cost him top place, which went to Austrian Patrick Mayerhofer in the upper-limb impairment class.

The 28-year-old had claimed a bronze medal in the snowboard-cross event four days earlier.

Moore tweeted after the event:  “First time at the world championships and overwhelmed with the outcome.”
