TAVISTOCK athletes Ben Neale and Nikki Kelly claimed convincing victories at the Burrator 10k on Saturday evening.
Neale won the men’s race by one-and-a-half minutes, finishing in a time of 33 minutes.
Second place went to Teignbridge Trotters’ Alex Sparks in 34.30 minutes, with Richard Edwards third (34.33), Erme Valley youngster Luke Hayes fourth and first junior (34.48) and Hayle’s Neil Hayhurst was fifth (35.00).
Plymstock Road Runners’ Graham Bale finished in the top 10 and was first M55, while East Cornwall Harriers’ Ian Savigar was first M60.
Kelly retained the women’s title she won last year. She clocked 38.51 minutes for the race that sees runners complete one full lap and then two-thirds of another around the Dartmoor reservoir.
She finished one minute and 42 seconds ahead of University of Plymouth athlete Ellie Robinson, who took second place in 40.33.
Erme Valley Harriers’ Sally Erith was third woman in 40.39, with Helpston’s Ruth Jones fourth (40.45) and Teignbridge Trotters’ Susanna Goffe fifth (42.16).
More than 500 runners finished the race.
