Dartmoor Darts impress at British Masters Championships in Sheffield

DARTMOOR Darts returned home with a host of gold medals and national records from the British Masters Championships in Sheffield.

Their men’s 100+ relay team of Regan Lloyd, Kieran Preston, Matthew Henry and Sonny Trigg were unstoppable at the competition at Ponds Forge.

They won the 4x50m freestyle, the 4x50m medley, the 4x100m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle events, claiming three British records in the process.

Their first gold and record came in the 4x50m freestyle event, where they clocked 1:36.15 to win.

They backed that up in the next session by breaking the British record in the 4x50m medley relay with a 1:45.58 swim, which was two-and-a-half seconds faster than previous best.

They then added the 4x200m to their gold collection with a 8:07.74 swim before finishing the championships off with another title and record in the 4x100m freestyle where they clocked 3:34.36.

Henry also won an individual gold in the men’s 30-34 years’ 50m butterfly, where he clocked 25.34 seconds.

Plymouth Leander’s Zoe Cawsey enjoyed a good championships. She won the women’s 18-24 years’ 50m breaststroke (33.59) and 50m freestyle (26.69) and took silver in the women’s 50m butterfly (29.14).
