TAVISTOCK Run Project’s Jim Cole stormed to victory in the popular Plympton January Jaunt 10k on Sunday morning.
The race, organised by the Plymouth Round Table, was hit by torrential rain at the start but more than 330 runners still finished the event that takes athletes from Marsh Mills into the Saltram Estate
Cole finished more than two minutes ahead of anyone else, coming home in 35.45 minutes for the multi-terrain run.
Second athlete home was Stuart Colville, who clocked 37.53 minutes.
Chris Casey was third in 38.14 minutes, with Sebastian Broomfield fourth in 38.24 and Plymouth Musketeers’ Scott Mansfield fifth in 39.17.
First woman home was Maria Paine, who clocked 41.17 minutes, with Kirsty Prowse (DSFRS) second in 43.17 minutes and Storm Plymouth’s Charlene Matthews third in 43.40.
The event held raise around £3,500.
