ONE of the toughest off-road races in the region took place on Saturday in the form of the annual Burrator Horseshoe Run.
The gruelling six-mile event takes athletes from Meavy village out to Burrator Reservoir and up to the summit of Sheepstor and then Gutter Tor before returning to the start.
The event had to be postponed last year due to Covid-19 but was back with a bumper a field for 2021, although it was not part of the Meavy Oak Fair like normal. Also this year, there were a junior event.
