TRAVIS BRAMLEY set a new course record as he took victory in Plymouth Corinthian’s sporting S46/16 time trial in east Cornwall on Sunday.

Bramley, who has joined Nopinz Motip Race Team this year after representing Corinthians, stormed to victory in 33.56 minutes on the course that started just outside Kelly Bray and took riders out on the B3257 through Bray Shop, Coads Green and Congdons Shop to Plusha and back.

Second-place went to another talented triathlete, Rob Shaw (Plymouth Corinthian), who finished in 35.06 minutes, with Royal Navy’s Tom Scorer third (36.06) and City Cycle Couriers’ Andrew Parnowski fourth and first over-50 veteran in 36.39 minutes.

Plymouth Corinthian’s Ben Causon took the road bike victory, while team-mate Tom Moran was first over-60 veteran.

The host club also won the team prize with Shaw, Paul Whalse (7th) and Sam Twine (13th) making up their scorers.

Natalie Grinczer (CAMS Racing) took victory in the women’s race by five minutes with a quick time of 39.13 minutes. Second woman was Penzance Wheelers’ Martina Geraghty (44.16), while Plymouth Corinthian’s Lisa Crawford was third (45.32).
