TAVISTOCK Run Project impressed at the Indian Queens Half Marathon on Sunday.
The club filled four of the top 14 places, with Jim Cole finishing second overall and first over-35.
Cole was runner-up to Cornwall AC youngster Sam Goodchild. The Cardiff Met student clocked 1:12.08 to win, with Cole crossing the finish line in 1:13.43. Third place went to Hayle’s Dan Costello, who clocked 1:14.13.
Alex Peyton-Jones was 11th overall and first over-40 with a time of 1:21.06. He finished just one place ahead of team-mate Mike Buckley, who clocked 1:21.31 and came third over-35. Colin Russell was 14th overall in 1:13.30.
Run Project’s success in Cornwall followed on from Ben Neale winning the Exeter Fast Friday 10k in 32.06 minutes.
