MORE than 2,500 runners finished the Plymouth 10k which took place on Sunday morning.
The race was won by Bideford’s Steve Gallienne, who clocked a quick time of 31.56 minutes to improve on his runners-up spot last year.
Kairn Stone took second place in 33.20, with Tavistock’s Adam Holland third in 34.14 minutes.
After finishing the 10k, Holland took victory in the Plymouth 5k in 17.42 minutes and also ran in the Westward Cross Country League meeting at Central Park in the afternoon.
Fourth in the 10k was Oli Wright, who just finished ahead of junior athletes Joe Beaton and Sam Yearling, who came fifth and sixth.
There was a great women’s race, which saw Ruby Orchard win in 37.21, with Tamar Trotters’ Bex Ezra taking second in 37.38 and Tiverton’s Serane Stone third in 37.43.
