GALLERY: Pictures from the annual Plymouth Coasters Five Miler race

PLYMOUTH Harriers’ Sam Yearling won the Plymouth Coasters Five Miler race for a second year running on Sunday.

The teenager ran nearly a minute quicker this time around to once again take victory in the run which starts and finishes at Marsh Mills and takes competitors down the Embankment, over Laira Bridge and back through the grounds of Saltram House.

He clocked 28.25 minutes to win by 51 seconds, with Luke Gibbons (29.16) second and Tamar Trotters James Blight in third (29.57).

Erme Valley Harriers’ Suzie Spooner was first women in 37.06 minutes, ahead of Halesowen’s Lucy Cambridge (39.24) and Plymouth Harriers’ Nicola Noble (39.48).
