CITY of Plymouth youngster Molly Shorey continued her good form by finishing as first women in Wednesday’s Winter Armada 3k Series run at Central Park.
Within the past week, Plymouth College pupil Shorey has won the Year 7 Plymouth & West Devon Schools’ Cross Country title and finished second at both the English Schools’ Regional Cup final at Stratton-on-the-Fosse and the Westward Cross Country League in Newquay.
She was ninth overall in Wednesday’s Armada run in a time of 11.29 minutes. Charlene Shorey was second women in 11.30 with Plymouth Harriers’ Jane Allison third in 12.17.
Plymouth Harriers youngster Sam Yearling (pictured top) was first overall at Central Park in 10.23 minutes, with Erme Valley Harriers’ Liam Hallows second in 10.59, Storm’s Jack Arundel third in 11.05, Ross Perkins fourth in 11.06 and Tavistock veteran Martin Exley-Deane fifth in 11.09.
The second race in the series saw 138 runners finish. The third run in the series will take place on Wednesday, December 12.
