PLYMOUTH College swimmer Tegan Drew won three medals at the ISF World Summer School Games in Morocco over the weekend.
Drew claimed silver medals in the 50m and 100m backstroke events and also helped England to a bronze in the women’s 4x100m medley relay.
The Plymouth Leander swimmer’s first medal came in the 50m backstroke event. She qualified for the final third fastest with a time of 30.36 seconds but then improved that to 29.78 seconds in the final. She was only beaten by Turkey’s Ilayda Kargin.
Drew then added a relay bronze on Sunday along with Rachel Taylor, Abby Jackson and Elizabeth Harris.
She then capped a fine championships by winning another silver in the 100m backstroke on Monday.
In the final she clocked 1:03.83 minutes, having swam 1:04.55 in the prelims. Gold went to Brazil’s Alexia Tavarez Assuncao.
The Summer School Games featured 18 different sports and attracted more than 1,800 athletes.
