TRIATHLETE Travis Bramley was first home in the opening Armada Summer 5k Series of 2018 on Wednesday night at Saltram Park.
Nearly 200 runners took part in the first run of the series with Bramley the convincing winner.
The Plymouth Tri Club athlete finished more than a minute ahead of anyone else.
He clocked 16 minutes and 53 seconds, with Erme Valley youngster Sam Yearling finishing second in 17.57.
Edward Mole came third in 18.01, with Plymouth Harriers’ David Beckenkrager fourth in 18.09 and Plymstock over-50 veteran Graham Bale fifth in 18.33.
Erme Valley Harriers’ Emma Lake was first women home in 20.13 minutes, with Plymouth Tri Club’s Ellie Clements second in 22.51.
There was a great battle for third with East Cornwall Harriers’ Claire Davidson just holding off Anna Bale by one second. Davidson clocked 24.04 minutes and Bale 24.05.
The second race in the Armada Summer 5k Series will take place on Wednesday, May 9.
