PLYMOUTH’S Victoria Vincent has been named in a Great Britain squad to travel to the Eight Nations Youth Diving Meet in Kristiansand, Norway, this month.
The competition will take place over the weekend of March 17-18 and it will offer Vincent the chance to continue her progress as a springboard diver.
The 16-year-old, who competed at the last Commonwealth Games, has had to switch to the lower boards from the 10m platform due to an eye injury.
In January, she showed her potential in her new discipline by finishing sixth overall and second junior in the one-metre event at the British Championships.
She will now get the chance to compete against top international competition in Norway.
Great Britain team manager Julian Bellan said: “We have some exciting young talent coming through the programme at the moment and competitions like this will allow them to develop their skills at international level.”
