THREE Plymouth Fencing Club members will represent Great Britain at the 2018 Cadet European Championships in Russia at the start of next month.
Ben Andrews, Taylor Foxwell-Moss and Steve Macpherson have all been named in the epee team that will compete in Sochi.
The competition runs from March 2 to March 11, with the athletes heading out to Russia at the end of this month. The event will be held in the Ice Sports Palace, better known at the Iceberg, which was built for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Plymouth College pupil Andrews was GB’s highest finishing men’s epeeist at last year’s European Championship in Bulgaria, where he came 19th and also helped GB to eighth in the team competition.
He will again compete in both the individual and the team events this time around against the continent’s top under-17 athletes.
