PLYMOUTH Harriers had the top two finishers at January’s Armada Winter 3k Series run on Wednesday night.

John Cooper was the comfortable winner on the course around Central Park. He clocked 10.29 minutes, with his club colleague Alex Peyton-Jones coming home in second spot in 10.52 minutes.

Third-placed finisher was Erme Valley Harriers’ Liam Hallows, who clocked 11.15 minutes.

There was a good battle for third, with Justin Frost, of Plymouth Musketeers, clocking 11.18 to take fourth and Jacob Pierpoint in fifth with a time of 11.20 minutes.

First women home was Plymouth University’s Bethan Moor, who finished the run in 12.04 minutes.

Not far behind was Plymouth Harriers’ Jane Allison, who clocked 12.09, with Erme Valley youngster Olivia Travers third in 13.29.
