Devonport Royal swimmers hoping to continue their progress this summer

A NUMBER of Devonport Royal swimmers are looking forward to a busy summer.

Harry Noble has been selected to represent a Swim England South West team at a competition in Zagreb, Croatia.

He will compete in the 50m and 100m freestyle and backstroke events and will become Devonport Royal’s first swimmer to gain international experience.

Nobel has also qualified to compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events at the British Summer Swimming Championships in Sheffield in July.

Team-mate Tia Crews has been selected for the 12-year-olds’ Swim England South West training programme. She will attend a three-day camp in early July and then join up with the regional set-up for further training days later in the year.

Meanwhile, Devonport Royal’s Abigail Daly, Andrew Keeler and Cameron Vearncombe (second claim DRSA, first claim Caradon) have all qualified to compete in the multi-class events at the Swim England Summer Championships in the first week of August.

In addition, Daly has been selected for a Swim England multi-class talent camp in Nottingham, where she will spend a weekend receiving additional training and experience.
