Plymouth Buccaneers will kick-off their new season with home tournament

PLYMOUTH Buccaneers Flag American Football Club kick-off their new season on Saturday at All Saints School.

The city side will host two-time champions Cardiff Hurricanes, Merthyr Tydfil Thunder and new boys Exeter Falcons in the opening South West Conference tournament of the 2017 British American Football Association season.

The Bucs made the national play-offs last year for the first time, where they lost in the quarter-finals to Reading Lions.

They are hoping they can go at least one step further in 2017 after recruiting some new talent during the off-season.

They warmed up for new campaign by winning the winter Macron South West Series league with a 15-1 record.

Saturday’s tournament at All Saints, Honicknowle, starts at 10am.
