Weir finished ninth overall and third Briton in the junior women’s race at the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country.
The former Plymstock School pupil was part of the Great Britain team that was taking on USA and Europe.
Weir had made her international debut last month at the European Cross Country Championships where she finished 10th and helped GB to team gold.
Britain’s Harriet Knowles-Jones, who Weir beat at the European trials in November, won Saturday’s Edinburgh race, with Europe’s Jasmijn Lau second and USA’s Nevada Mareno third. Amelia Quirk was second GB athlete home in fourth as the home nation finished second, just one point behind USA in the junior women’s team competition.
Weir will make her England debut later this month an IAAF permit event in Spain.
