THE second Armada Winter 3k Series run takes place on Wednesday night at Central Park (7pm).

The event, which starts and finishes in front of Plymouth Argyle’s ground, is open to runners of any standard, providing they are over 11 years-old on the day.

Registration is at the Life Centre and must be done before 6.45pm. The cost is £2.50.

Plymouth Harriers’ Tom Humphrey was first home in last month’s opening run of the series, which goes through to March.

Meanwhile, the second Westward Cross Country League meeting takes place on Sunday at Newquay. The event will include the Cornwall County Championships.

The first race at Newquay will be the under-13 girls’ event and will start at 1pm. The final race will be the senior men at 3.10pm.
