ERME Valley Harriers’ Alison McEwing and Alison Thorn claimed the top two female places at the Dartmoor Vale 10k.
McEwing (pictured) was first women home and ninth overall in a time of 38 minutes and eight seconds.
Thorn was second and 13th overall in 39:08 minutes.
The men’s race was won by Haldon’s Paul Sadler in 35.38, Torbay’s Peter Monaghan was second in 35.41 and Plymouth Harriers’ Steve Hill was third in 36.06.
Plymouth Musketeers’ Alan Ryder was seventh and second over-50 in 37.09 minutes.
The Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon was won by Kyle Chapman in 1:22.16. Tamar Trotters’ Dan Budd was ninth in that race in 1:29.40.
The full marathon was won by A Ramsden in 2:50.30, with Haldon’s Elizabeth Dyson was second and first women in 3:11.04.
Tamar Trotters’ Ross Portass was third over-40 athlete home and 12th overall in the marathon in a time of 3:28.27.
Meanwhile, Will Battershill and Poppy Tank are continuing their progress in America.
Erme Valley Harriers’ Battershill finished 68th and fourth Harvard athlete home at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country. He finished the 8k course in 25.17.3, which was just 90 seconds behind the winner.
Tank, meanwhile, finished 40th and fourth Utah athlete at the Pac-12 Championships in Arizona in 21.29.5.
