PLYMOUTH Harriers’ Jordan Andrews continued his good form by claiming victory in the final Armada Summer 5k Series race at Saltram on Wednesday evening.
In the previous 10 days he had also won the Plymouth Coasters’ Five Miler and finished second in the Autumn Trail Run.
Andrews came home in a time of 17 minutes and four seconds to finish ahead of his club colleague John Cooper and Torbay’s Peter Monaghan.
Cooper clocked 17.18 to take seconds, with veteran star Monaghan finishing third in 17.28.
Tamar Trotters’ Peter Waumsley (18.04) and Plymouth Harriers’ Alex Peyton-Jones (18.09) came fourth and fifth, respectively.
Plymouth Harriers have won all the series races this season, with Tom Humphry and Chris Aldridge winning two apiece and Steve Hill coming home first last month.
Erme Valley Harriers’ Cleo Perry was first women home on Wednesday night. She clocked 19.44 minutes, with her team-mate Emma Lake second in 20.27. Plymouth Harriers’ Ami Yetton was third in 20.58.
An impressive 166 runners finished the run and a lovely night for running.
