PLYMOUTH Harriers’ John Cooper just missed out on claiming a new personal best as he took victory in the 3,000m at the Yeovil Games Open.
Cooper clocked 9:19.4 to win the race by more than 30 seconds.
The 33-year-old’s PB for the seven-and-a-half lap event is 9:17.55, which he set on August 24 at Watford.
Meanwhile, City of Plymouth’s international athlete David King took third place in the Great North CityGames 110m hurdles.
His GB team-mate David Omoregie won the street race in 13.75 seconds, with America’s Jarret Eaton second in 13.84, King third in 13.94 and Czech Republic’s Peter Svoboda fourth in 14.41.
