PLYMOUTH rugby player Lagi Tuima is in line to make her England Under-20 debut on Thursday after being named among the replacements to play Canada at Nottingham (5.30pm).
The teenager, who was part of Devonport Services’ successful under-18 squad last season, is one of three uncapped players named on the bench.
Head coach Jo Yapp said: “It has been great to have the players in camp in preparation for these three tests and we are very excited to see them perform on Thursday. We are expecting a strong Canadian side which will be a great opportunity for us to see how our players step up to the challenge.”
Tuima is set to play for Plymouth Albion this coming season after moving up to the senior age group.
Former Albion player Lottie Holland, who now plays for Bristol, will start in the centre for England Under-20s.
Thursday’s match will be the first of three this month against Canada Under-20s.
