DEVON under-20 lock Jim Massey has left Plymouth Albion to join newly-promoted National Two South side Exmouth.
Massey moved to Plymouth last summer as an 18-year-old to join Albion and study for a degree at the University of St Mark and St John.
He made one league start for Albion in National One last season – away at Blackheath – and was on the bench for their away win at Hartpury College.
Massey is no stranger to National Two South as he made 14 appearances for Lydney while still a schoolboy.
He joins fellow Marjon student lock Matt Handford, who was also training with Albion last season, in moving to Exmouth this summer.
Exmouth coach Jon Hill said: “Jim gained some rave reviews playing for Devon Under-20s and comes with glowing references from those who have played with him.
“Whilst he has suffered a few injuries, he should be fit for mid-September and be pushing hard for inclusion.”
