Cornwood hoping for another good turnout for their 10k race

Cornwood 10k 2015

ORGANISERS of the Cornwood 10k are hoping their 2016 run can be as successful as last year’s.

More than 200 people completed the race in 2015, with both the men’s and women’s course records going.

Jim Cole broke a nine-year best mark for the course to beat Great Britain youth international Will Battershill, while Noami Flanaghan set a new women’s mark.

This year’s run, which take athletes around Cornwood and Lutton, will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 6.30pm. There will also be a 4k fun run, going off a few minutes later.
