PLYMOUTH Diving’s Victoria Vincent helped Great Britain claim their first medal of the European Junior Championships in Rijeka, Croatia.
Vincent featured in the team event, alongside Jordan Houlden, Kat Torrance and Matty Lee, and they won bronze behind champions Germany and runners-up Italy.
Great Britain scored 302.40 points, Italy 302.85 and Germany 320.70.
Vincent had earlier suffered frustration in the girls’ B three-metre event, narrowly missing out on reaching the final by finishing 14th with only the top 12 going through.
However, her club team-mates Alfie Brown and Aidan Heslop did reach the final of the boys’ B one-metre competition, where they finished seventh and ninth respectively.
Brown scored 342.55 points and Heslop 332.65.
Heslop will compete in the platform event on Thursday and he and Brown will take part in the three-metre competition on Saturday.
Fellow Plymouth diver Shanice Lobb will be in action on Wednesday in the girls’ A platform event.
